A Florida teen was arrested by Port St. Lucie police late last month, accused of squirting her boyfriend with a water pistol according to a recently released arrest affidavit.
Giovanna Borge, 19, was arrested and charged with battery Sept. 27, “for squirting water on (her boyfriend) to antagonize and agitate him against his wishes,” the affidavit reads.
After receiving reports of domestic violence, police arrived on scene to find Borge in an “upset/excited state.” According to one officer’s report, Borge became angered after her year-long boyfriend “said something to her she did not like.”
Borge responded by squirting her boyfriend with a water pistol, leading the boyfriend to dump a container of water over her before hitting her with a pillow. After mutual shoving, Borge ended up in the bathroom tub.
“Giovanna had no visible injuries but stated she has been injured in domestics by (boyfriend) in the past which were unreported to Law Enforcement,” the officer’s report reads.
According to three witnesses who heard the altercation, Borge began screaming unexpectedly before yells of “get off me, get off of me” were heard from the boyfriend, leading police to accuse Borge of being the primary aggressor.
“I placed Giovanna under arrest for Simple Battery/Domestic Violence under F.S. 784.03 for squirting water on (boyfriend) to antagonize and agitate him against his wishes,” the report says in closing.
Borge, who was experiencing “rapid shallow breathing,” was given a paper bag to breath in during transport.
